Angela went to the University of Florida where she received her
Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2021.
She specializes in early intervention and receptive-expressive
language disorders. She has 3 years of pediatric experience. Her
hobbies include traveling, playing tennis, and trying new

Kara M.S. CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Kara attended the University of Georgia where she received dual
degrees in Spanish and Communication Sciences and Disorders. Kara
attended Florida State University for her master’s degree in speech
language pathology.
Kara enjoys working with English and Spanish speaking children
and families to provide the highest quality speech therapy
starting from the first encounter with parents in the intake and
parent interview, through the evaluation process and during speech
therapy sessions.Kara has several years experience working with
language delayed children from Spanish speaking families. Her
sessions are directed at targeting language in the most functional
manner with parents attending sessions and giving families
homework after the session. Kara is always pleased to share with
parents the progress their child made in the session. Kara is
excited to work with the parents in the speech therapy sessions to
promote language growth in the child’s natural environment. Kara
is certified in LSVT LOUD, Vital Stim, Visual Phonics, and AEIOU
feeding specialty. Kara has taken several courses on hearing loss
and its impact on children’s speech language development. She
specializes in AAC speech generating devices, articulation, Autism
Spectrum Disorder, pragmatics/social language, early intervention,
fluency/stuttering, swallowing feeding disorders, and language
disorders. Kara attends speech language conventions in Georgia and
the national ASHA conventions to expand her knowledge of speech
and language disorders. Her hobbies include traveling, snorkeling,
jet skiing, paddle boarding, triathlons, and photography.

Speech Language Pathologist
Maya graduated from Lehman College with a Master’s degree in Speech
Language Pathology in 2012.
Maya has worked in the public school system in New York and
Georgia and in pediatric private practices. Maya is passionate
about being a speech therapist because Maya is making connections
with families and helping children succeed. In her free time, she
enjoys spending time with my family and friends, shopping, and

Speech Language Pathologist
Emily Hill has been practicing Speech Language Pathology for 9 years
in schools, home setting and Babies Can’t Wait.
Emily attended Valdosta State University where she graduated with
her Bachelors in Education (2010) and Masters in Communications
Sciences and Disorders (2012). Emily has obtained and continues to
maintain her Certified Clinical Competence (CCC) with ASHA. Emily
is skilled in treating a wide variety of disorders ( eg, cerebral
palsy, Autism, apraxia of speech , downs syndrome, articulation
disorders, phonological disorders, and hearing loss problems).
Emily is certified to treat sensory feeding disorders with the SOS
approach. Emily is able to navigate and show parents/ clients how
to use speech generating devices, sign communication and visual
phonics. Emily prefers her speech therapy sessions at Atlanta
International to be exciting, interactive, and relatable to
everyday experiences. She enjoys walking her dog, going to Pure
Barre exercise classes, spending time with her daughter , husband,
and other members of her family .
Jenna M.Ed. CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Jenna has served the greater Atlanta community as a Nationally
Certified Speech-Language Pathologist for several years.Born and
raised in Atlanta, Georgia, she cares about empowering the young
minds of the future.
In 2017, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Communication
Disorders and Sciences with a concentration in Infancy and
Preschool at Auburn University. She then earned her Master’s of
Education in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of West
Georgia in 2019. Jenna has acquired years of experience with the
Early Intervention Population (ages 0-3) and has worked with
pediatrics of all ages in the school, hospital, and private
practice setting. She has a strong passion for helping
neurodivergent children develop a sense of confidence through
improved communication. Jenna believes that creating a positive
and individualized environment for a child is the key to sparking
speech and language improvement!</span >

Elena is a speech language pathologist at Atlanta International PT,
who graduated with her bachelor’s degree at Georgia State University
and master’s degree at West Georgia University.
Elena has experience working with the pediatric population in
outpatient settings, including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s
craniofacial lab and private practice. Elena has experience
treating children with craniofacial speech, myofunctional,
apraxia, fluency, language, articulation, phonological, feeding,
and oral motor disorders. She is trained in PROMPT, LAMP, Beckman
Oral Motor, and Buteyko breathing. In her free time, likes to
hike, cook, travel, attend sporting events (Go Atlanta Hawks!),
collect vinyls, attend concerts, and try new restaurants.

Physical Therapist
Justine is a Physical Therapist who studied at The University of the
Witwatersrand in South Africa. She has many years of experience as
an NDT and MAES ( Movement Analysis and Education Strategies)
certified therapist.
She specializes in children with cerebral palsy, preemies,
Torticollis and congenital disorders. She is a strong advocate for
neurodiverse children and their families, believing that building
strong relationships is what makes therapy effective. Her hobbies
include golf and travel.
Dr. Sergio, B.S.,DPT, CNDT
Physical Therapist
Dr. Sergio Hernandez, Atlanta International Clinical Director and
CEO has practiced Physical Therapist for more 30 years in different
settings such as acute care, home health, outpatient clinic,
geriatrics, adults and pediatrics.
Dr. Hernandez graduated with Honors in 1985 at The School of
Physical Therapy, Faculty of Medicine in Chile. In 2011, He
completed his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in Chattan
University, USA. Dr. Hernandez practiced pediatric and adult
physical therapy in private practices. In 1991, Dr. Hernandez was
the coordinator for the Special Olympic in Chile which one of his
patients won the gold medal in the Spain Olympic. In 1992, a
headhunter recruited him from Chile to practice Physical Therapy in
USA. Dr. Hernandez started to work at Phone Putney Hospital, and
opened the outpatient clinic of rehabilitation. In 1993 Middle
Georgia Hospital offered him a position for a director of outpatient
clinic for a short-term assignment. In 1994, Dr. Sergio was a
clinical director and supervisor in outpatient clinic in the state
of Florida. In 1995 Dr. Hernandez moved to work with the geriatric
population, and worked until 1999 in rehab, living centers, long
term acute care. In 1999 Dr. Hernandez started to work again in
pediatric in the Early Intervention Program, Babies Cannot Wait in
the state of GA. In 2001, Babies Cannot Wait invited him to be part
of the evaluation team for initial eligibility which Dr. Hernandez
worked until the year 2008, in addition Dr. Hernandez treated
patients in his private practice. In 2004 Dr. Hernandez started his
certification on Neurobiological Foundation of Sensory Integration,
The Ayres Clinic. During these years Dr. Hernandez had completed
different continue education classes and certifications focused on
neurodevelopment, orthopedic, and orthotics. In 2015, Dr. Hernandez
completed the certification in Neuro- Developmental Treatment.
During these years, Dr. Hernandez has obtained different
certifications on Pediatric Vestibular System, Primitive Reflex and
Integration, Myofascial Cupping Practitioner, and FMT Kinesiology
Taping. In the mist of all, Dr. Hernandez became the clinical
director and CEO of AIPT. Also, Dr. Hernandez’s specialty and
concentration is children who are premature, have been in NICU and
beyond. Dr. Hernandez is well known in the Hispanic community
professionals for being a disciplined therapist with his distinctive
and intense knowledge in children and adults in neuro-development,
orthopedic, cognitive skills, and different techniques to improve
and assist children and adults with precision and efficiency to
increase independence. In his free time, Dr. Hernandez competes in
marathons, Xterra, and Triathlon around USA. Also Dr. Hernandez
shares his knowledge to nonprofit organizations in Chile.
Dr. Karica
PT, DPT, Physical Therapist
Karica attended the University of South Florida to earn a Bachelors
of Science in Health Science with a minor in Public Health, then
earned her M.S. in Exercises Science in concentration of
Rehabilitative Sciences.
Shortly after, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the
Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee,
Florida. She has clinical experience providing Physical Therapy
services for the pediatric, geriatric and general orthopedic
populations. Specifically, within the pediatric population, Karica
has worked with Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Torticollis,
and various diagnoses related to Developmental Delays. In her free
time, Karica enjoys journaling, crafting, trying new restaurants,
nature walks, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and
family.

Physical Therapist
Daryll is a Physical therapist at Atlanta International PT, who
graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at Cebu
Doctors University in the year of 1996.
He has practiced Physical Therapy for almost 27 years in different
settings.
Dr. Caroline PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Caroline is a pediatric physical therapist with experience working
with a wide variety of diagnoses including torticollis, cerebral
palsy, and autism.
She completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science
at the University of Georgia, then went to Georgia State University
to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. During her time at
Georgia State, she was part of the pediatric therapy research team
and a leadership training in neurodevelopmental disabilities.
Caroline enjoys reading, baking, and traveling with her husband.

Occupational Therapist
Sarah attended the University of Georgia to earn a bachelor’s degree in
Nutrition Science, followed by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for her Occupational
Therapy Doctorate.
She has clinical experience in providing occupational therapy services in
pediatric outpatient and school system settings. Sarah has worked extensively with children
diagnosed with developmental delays, sensory processing differences, and fine motor
difficulties, as well as with Autistic children. Sarah is dedicated to providing quality
pediatric occupational therapy services in order to help children and young adults be their best
selves through facilitating improved occupational competence. She also enjoys every crafting
hobby under the sun, including leatherworking, knitting/crocheting, and jewelry-making.
Dr. Gabriel OTD, OTR/L, ITOT
Occupational Therapist
Gabriel was born and raised in Georgia and believes that his path was set to
be an Occupational therapist due to his younger brother being diagnosed with Autism at a very
early age.
Gabriel earned his bachelors in Exercise Science in 2017 from Georgia State University and
received his ASCM Exercise Physiologist Certification. Gabriel attended the University of
St. Augustine for Health Sciences where he initially obtained his master’s and then his
doctorate in occupational therapy. Gabriel has also obtained his certification as an
Impacted trained occupational therapist for concussion. When Gabriel is not working, he
enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching sports, working out, drawing, or
singing.
